We used RJS Removals for our move, with the packing service, from Abingdon to the New Forest, and we’re really glad we did. Rich came out to see us and have a look around the house to provide a quote. He’s very friendly and more than happy to advise. We were moving a 3-bedroom house, which we’d lived in for 26 years, along with a woodworking workshop. There was heavy machinery and lots of “stuff”. The guys (4) arrived on the Monday. We had a quick walk around, and they started packing. The big advantage of having RJS Removals pack for you is that they bring lots of boxes (heavy-duty, professional ones) in 2x sizes (large and medium) along with specialist packing for pictures, TVs and clothes. Everything is packed carefully and each box labelled. When RJS Removals pack, they pack in a “non-attached” way, meaning they pack way faster than you ever will because they don’t stop to admire/question/look at the items the way an owner would. They are more like machines! They load the lorry like a giant game of Tetris, and this is where the 2x sizes of professional, heavy-duty boxes come into their own. If you pack (as we did some of our stuff), you use a random assortment of various quality boxes that you collect up. This means they can’t be stacked in the same way, meaning wasted space (height) in the lorry and can be a problem if you’re tight on how many vehicles will be needed. Tuesday came, and the boys (3) were back again in a smaller Luton-type van. This was to finish off the packing, which was mainly the contents of the workshops and sheds, along with our bed and things we’d needed overnight. With everything packed up, we all headed down to the New Forest. I’d picked up the keys to our new home, and RJS Removals were ready when I arrived. They’d even been and spoken to the neighbours to let them know what was going on and to advise that they’d be blocking access for a while. Everything was unloaded from the lorry in a flurry of activity, with my wife and I directing them as to which room everything had to go. We spent the next few days (and weeks) unpacking, and not a single item was broken or damaged. An outstanding job from RJS Removals and a company I’d recommend to anyone. The packing service was so worthwhile and made the whole task as stress-free and easy as it could be.

Back at the beginning of July, I contacted RJS Removals Ltd. Richard explained thoroughly what will be involved by moving my boxes from Littlehampton to France. Although the move of my 14 boxes happened only on the 1st of December , I was amazed of how smoothly the process went. Not only Richard is knowledgeable but he is also kind, efficient and empathetic, he also left a very good impression on my family in France. A delightful company to deal with. All of their chaps were extremely accommodating and had a superb can-do attitude. Nothing was too much for them. We have even managed to unpack most of the boxes during moving in in order to minimise the cardboard to be disposed of on Jersey. Even the heavy Petrof piano travelled well in their care. With quality crews such as the one they have provided us with, they have a very good chance of growing RJS into a force to be reckoned with. I will certainly mention the superb service they gave to any friends who may be moving.

Highly recommend. We came from Wales to Abingdon and the crew where amazing. They came a day early to clear the house and the next day only took a few hours to finish off and then we set off to Abingdon. They worked really hard with enthusiasm and how they got all our belongings into that lorry was a real eye opener as how professional they were. They even helped Mum with a couple of things. I have made the right and wise choice of using RJS removal company. First of all, I never expect that Richard would reply my emails after office hours, weekend even he was out of town, however he replied all my emails promptly. On the removal day, his staff Chris and John were smart, polite, punctual and work harmoniously. They loaded all my furniture with care strategically and wrapped with blankets to prevent collision. Meanwhile, allow me to say that almost all my furniture did not touch on the ground during moving and loading. They were incredibly amazing and all-rounder. It's easy to see how RJS Removals has earned so much praise! We had two removals with them, the first at the end of March from Abingdon to Radley and the second in early April from Germany (near Frankfurt-am-Main) also to Radley (we have just moved from Germany and still had a lorry load of possessions in Germany). This removal company is fantastic. They picked up our large house move at very short notice when our original removers let us down. It was a 4 day move: 2 days packing and loading; the “completion day”, picking up the overnight remainder and unloading it at the new house; 1 day unloading the two vans from days 1 & 2. Nothing was too much trouble and they even relocated items already positioned when we “changed our minds”. Terrific team effort all round at a reasonable price. Brilliant. I can't praise RJS enough. They were efficient, courteous, polite and very professional. John and Chris did the move - lovely guys, very easy to deal with. Genuine 5-star service from Richard and Steve, assisting us with the heavier/more awkward items on our short but busy move from Kidlington to Ardley. Excellent packing and removal service: friendly, fair and extremely efficient. When my house sale completion date changed, Rich was really flexible and changed date with no quibble. They made sure that I was happy with where boxes/furniture was positioned before leaving. They were also were more than happy to return to collect cardboard boxes a week later. They worked well as a team. Their years of experience really showed and so I felt confident that they knew exactly how to approach the job - just one less thing to worry about at a stressful time! Through a long and drawn out lead up to exchange (during the busy stamp duty holiday) Rich provided me with clear and informative communication. I knew immediately our move was in safe hands. On the day the performance of his team was flawless. They had our flat safely emptied and loaded up in no time at all. They took lots of care and attention with the disassembling and reassembling of our furniture - in some cases it was put back together into a better condition than it original was in! I also had a lot of expensive electronics which they ensured were safe and protected. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone I knew in the area who needed movers. Don't bother comparing them to others around - just book them up now!

RJS gave us an excellent packing and removal service in our move from Oxford to Abingdon. Richard and the team provided a very professional, reliable and friendly service, and despite not getting our keys from the solicitors unit late they stayed and make sure we eventually got settled in that night, even sorting out the heating! Our house was large with a lot of furniture and contents, everything was packed properly and there was no damage or breakage at all. They also handled a difficult access issue without any problems and we can thoroughly recommend every aspect of their service. The guys at RJS were super! I moved from a second floor pokey London flat (with narrow stair ways) to Oxford. The flat was on a busy High Street with no parking, but the guys were great and worked around it - carrying all my furniture to the nearest side road! They were punctual on arrival and loaded the van up in an hour and a half. I lost alot of sleep over getting my three seater sofa bed out of this small flat (it took 3 hours to get in), but the guys were able to get it out in 5 mins flat! They were even happy to make an extra stop to pick up an item from my grandmother's house before the end destination. Communication was always easy. Highly recommend!

5* Service from RJS removals today- arrived on time- extremely friendly and helpful and very patient would highly recommend!

I was planning a move from rural South Wales to Burford, from a larger to a much smaller house. There were two big challenges.
- What to do with the bulky furniture already in my new house that I didn’t want? Every normal opportunity to pass it on was blocked by the lockdown.
- How much of my most-wanted furniture in Wales, some of it treasured inherited antiques, could be squeezed into the new cottage? Especially because the staircases to the first and second floors in the cottage are narrow and twisting all the way.
RJS had been recommended by a friend of a friend, and Rich and Steve did the tricks! I needn’t have worried about anything.
They found me some storage space and took all the unwanted furniture there before the day of the move.
And they managed to squeeze everything I wanted to take from South Wales into their “small” van, including some last-minute extras.
And in Burford they carried all the big heavy stuff up the stairs and into rooms with tricky narrow doors and they didn’t make one scratch anywhere.
I’m an extremely happy customer. Well done them.

We received an excellent service from Richard and his team. I don’t normally leave reviews but the service was so good I wanted to share our experience. We had the team in the day before we moved and they did a fantastic Job and reduced our stress levels a tremendous amount. On the day of the move it was pouring with rain but they were totally prepared and stayed very late to finish everything. A truly top rate service from a lovely group of people.

Richard, Steve and Shaun were the best when they moved me 150 miles, nothing was too much trouble for them and always turning up on time to start the day. When unloading the lorry it was pouring with rain, every thing was moved in with no water damage, how did they do that? Thanks for taking the stress out of the move WELL DONE.

Richard and Sean did my move today - a slightly complicated one involving picking up stuff from, and dropping stuff off to, separate houses in addition to the usual 'house A to house B' move, but nothing was too much trouble for them.
They were punctual, friendly, respectful.
